What is Vibrational Sound Therapy?

Vibrational Sound Therapy is a method of relaxation performed by a licensed and certified Vibrational Sound Therapist. A personal VST session lasts between 45-60 minutes and is tailored to each individual client. This therapy combines powerful vibration and sound to decrease the effects of stress on the body and mind. This is done by the practitioner placing Himalayan Singing Bowls directly on the body and using correct techniques. The introduction of sound waves directly into the body along with soothing ambient tones is such a effective modality that clients report effects ranging from a meditative state to deep relaxation. Most people will reach the deep state of relaxation quickly, even during the first session. The body will go through noticeable changes as it responds to deeper and deeper states of rest.

A vibrational Sound Session is a unique and peaceful experience to become grounded and reduce the stresses of everyday life. VST created a noticeable positive difference in my mental and physical state post session.

“Jenni’s private sound bowl sessions are unique. With the bowls in contact with my body, I experience the sounds and vibrations from the inside out. There is a strong tactical component to the private sessions that is vaguely present in the group sessions. When the session is done, I feel that I have been permanently restored to a better version of myself.”

What happens in a

Vibrational Sound Therapy Session?

In the VST session, clients remain fully clothed and are not touched directly by the practitioner . The bowls are doing most of the work, therefore contact is kept to a minimum. The bowls are designed and chosen by size, weight, tones, and frequency to be most effective on certain regions of the body. VST is so gentle and relaxing, that many clients report a feeling of mental freshness that they carry with them after the session is over.

Relaxation and meditative states that can be achieved in a VST session, have been shown to increase theshold for emotional response, meaning these states can help us control our emotional responses to outside influences. Like other kinds of meditation, VST can help us be more internally aware while being more present in the moment and more connected with our surroundings.

Benefits of a Vibrational Sound Therapy Session

While receiving relaxations through Vibrational Sound Therapy, visible signs of the effects are noticed.  Muscle tension decreases, the mind becomes calm, blood pressure decreases, and the harmful effects of prolonged exposure to stress decrease.  Studies have shown a predictable response to relaxation therapies which include reducing the symptoms of stress by slowing your heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and slowing breathing rates.  The vibrations created by the bowls increase blood flow to major muscles, reduce muscle tension, and gently reduce chronic pain.   The gentle tone helps to focus our minds, fostering stronger concentration and balanced moods while reducing fatigue.  A focused mind will better deal with stress, anger, and frustration and will boost confidence to help handle life’s challenges.
